The team you will be a part of The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.This role in summary

The virtual product development (VPD) team is formed of technical experts with a deep knowledge of Cooking products (freestanding ranges, cooktops, wall ovens, microwave ovens, etc). The primary delivery of the team is a suite of virtual models proven to predict product performance without the need of physical units.

Your responsibilities will include

Educational Qualification- BE or M.Sc degree in Engineering, or related field

Experience Required-6 to 9 yrs

Technical-

LS-Dyna 

Ansys Workbench, APDL 

Creo Parametric; 

Python Programming

Job Details-

Background on Solid Mechanics and Structural Analysis.

A minimum of 5-year structural and/or impact/crash simulation experience;

Experience of applying LS-Dyna, Ansys Workbench, APDL, or other FEA tools. 

Background on explicit and impact simulations or experience with Cooking products is a plus;

Work with the global simulation-based engineering teams and Cooking subsystem teams to create and execute highly physics-based system-performance models for cooking products to enable virtual prediction of thermal, structure, and/or packaging performance.

Use Finite Elements Methods (FEA) tools to develop static, dynamic, implicit and explicit solid mechanic models for cooking products;

Build representative cooking products 3D models, evaluate designs, validate with physical testing and perform iterations to drive efficient designs for optimal product performance.

Write simulation reports, knowledge documents, lessons learned to capture knowledge and promote future reuse.

Develop new techniques and simulation capabilities to reduce overall simulation and design cycle time.

Use LS-Dyna, Ansys Workbench, APDL and Creo extensively to simulate cooking thermal and structural models.

Operate as a liaison between platform teams, subsystems engineers and external suppliers to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of projects.
