Description Olivia Quinlan from Robert Half is hiring for a Sr Systems Analyst in Rochester, New York. Key Responsibilities: + Manage the setup and maintenance of servers, networks, and IT environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. + Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational guidelines. + Oversee system updates, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors for technical support when needed. + Document system configurations, policies, and procedures to ensure clarity and consistency. + Evaluate, test, and implement software updates and new technologies to enhance system efficiencies. + Mentor team members by serving as an escalation point and guiding problem resolution. + Drive automation and efficiency by utilizing scripting tools like PowerShell. + Support maintenance and development within the organization’s cloud-based productivity suite. Requirements Preferred Skills and Technical Proficiency: + Expertise in operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux. + Familiarity with server applications, virtualization platforms, and monitoring tools. + Strong grasp of networking services, protocols, and hardware, including firewalls and switches. + Experience with scripting languages and tools for efficiency and automation. + Proficiency in utilizing and supporting Office 365 environments. Qualifications & Experience: + A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Systems Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). + 5+ years of relevant technical support experience. + Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail. + Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage projects effectively. + Industry certifications (e.g., Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications) are advantageous.
