This position will be focused on tactically planning and achieving the St. Jude strategic plan goal to strengthen employee educational platforms to enhance career development. In short, this position will create career development solutions for the institution’s individual contributor population. These solutions will fall into one of three main categories:1. LinkedIn Learning - Solutions that can be curated through our LinkedIn Learning platform of over 10,000 + programs/modules.2. Buy or Build - Solutions that are deemed strategically important enough to either be designed and developed or curated through external providers.3. Guide User Communities - Solutions that are not designed by this position, but are designed and implemented by St. Jude user communities, with design and implementation guidance provided by this position.Leads the execution of institutional strategy in the areas of career development. Job Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise and consultative support to business leaders in relevant areas of Talent Development (e.g., succession planning, organization design / development, coaching, performance management, specialized training and workforce planning) Research, evaluate and identify best practices in the execution and delivery of Talent Development programs. Participate in the design and facilitation of medium to large talent development and/ or leadership development programs. Deliver communication of talent development and/or L&D offerings and programs to employees, managers, and other organizational teams. Support process improvements initiatives to bridge program gaps/opportunities. Provide guidance and direction to employees regarding organizational and operational processes related to Talent Development. Provide analytical data as required; utilize data to determine needs or analyze success of programs and initiatives. Based on specific role, lead the performance management process with a focus on consistent implementation, fairness and capability building. Based on specific role, responsible for overall coordination and development of large/ complex training programs. Mentor and coach less experienced team members to ensure team goals are met. Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution. Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Minimum Education and/or Training: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Master's/PhD preferred. Minimum Experience: Minimum Requirement: 4+ years of experience related to an area within Talent Development or L&D. Experience in one or more L&D areas such as talent development, performance management, instructional design, surveys, coaching and workforce planning. Experience in program management including needs assessment, design, implementation, delivery and evaluation, preferred. Experience working on implementation of new and existing content on Learning Management System. Experience effectively finding and validating information from a variety of internal and external sources in designated areas of expertise. Experience identifying potential risks and opportunities and problem-solving for successful implementation of L&D programs. Proven performance in earlier role. Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Supports the evaluation of OE/ L&D program effectiveness by coordinating assessments, interviews, focus groups, surveys and reports. Proposes learning and development programs from external vendors and coordinates with the business to ensure they get the programs delivered in a timely and efficient manner. Reviews new technologies for different applications in the broader OE/ L&D space and provides recommendations to leadership. Compensation In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
