Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for the review, preparation, analysis, and timely filing of all indirect taxes including sales/use tax, GST/VAT, and property tax returns for the US, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Trinidad. Also, lead the organization’s corporate income tax submissions, including annual deferred taxes ASC 740, global consolidation of annual income tax packages, and serve as the primary contact to Veralto for ad hoc income tax and submission requests.

The successful candidate will have a track record of providing timely and accurate tax submissions, maintaining required levels of technical knowledge, and assisting Financial Reporting Teams and Compliance Teams with monthly closing activities, miscellaneous reporting, and special projects.

Essential Functions:

Review, analyze, file, and properly account for all indirect taxes and provide general accounting support on a global platform.Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations as part of the monthly closing process. Assist with Veralto tax reporting and data collection. Lead the global process on annual calculation of deferred taxesProvide guidance to AR and billing teams on sales tax invoicing issues as they ariseManage annual Veralto income tax package submission processNegotiate with tax authorities over tax payment matters.Identify tax savings in various scenarios, on a global levelManage Veralto intercompany accounting and reporting processParticipate in balance sheet reviewsEnsure compliance of assigned SOX and audit areas for general accounting. Serve as primary contact for any SUT audits, providing requested documentation to auditorsPlay a leading role in the monthly/quarterly/yearly close process and ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met. Present and communicate findings to management. Develop and implement process improvements. Responsible for all global tax-related submissions

The essential requirements of the job include:

Certified Public Accountant preferredBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Master’s degree preferredMinimum two to five years’ experience in accounting

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
