Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor with client account and capture management experience with a focus on Remediation programs for the US Federal Government, specifically the US Air Force. The candidate may work remotely within the United States.

Responsibilities of this position, include the following:

Utilizing advanced scientific principles, theories, practices and existing/emerging technologies to develop technical solutions to complex investigation and remediation problems.Serving as a senior technical advisor for remediation projects with scope elements that include: site inspections, remedial investigations, risk assessments, feasibility studies, technology demonstrations (bench/pilot studies), and remedial design for a variety of environmental contaminants and impacted media, including PFAS.In collaboration with the Federal Practice Strategy and Growth Lead, mentoring, supporting, and driving growth with the members of the Department; enhancing coordination, collaboration, and diversification with the aim of identifying and developing project managers, technical experts and seller-doers within the Department.Working collaboratively with the Federal Practice Strategy and Growth Lead, Client Account Managers (CAMs), and Business Line Leadership to grow profitable backlog and ensure financial success of the Remediation projects within the Air Force account.Through technical oversight, driving Department performance to meet and/or exceed client satisfaction and client objectives while meeting and/or exceeding internal key performance indicators (Department margin goals, etc.).Developing and formulating solutions to client problems/issues and acting as a point of escalation for project issues.Preparing technical presentations and communications to share technical expertise and project data interpretations with internal project teams and external project stakeholders.Serving as Lead Verifier on projects where not the technical lead, confirming that the technical approach satisfies the client scope and services and expectations.Helping coordinate and develop responses to applicable research funding requests from Federal, State, or private entities to include SERDP/ESTCP, and AFCEC or EXWC BAAs.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering +10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadershipValid US Drivers LicenseU.S. citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong knowledge and track record in the environmental / remediation business in multiple state jurisdictions working for an Environmental ConsultantMaster’s degree or PhD in in Science or Engineering in relevant fieldProfessional license (PG, PE) or registration (PMP, CHMM)15+ years of remediation experience working at DoD/federal facilitiesExperience including technical oversight and review, team building, client account management, sales growth, and proposal developmentExceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiencesAbility to influence others and move toward a common vision or goalMust be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through othersExperience conducting remediation at DoD/Federal Facilities in accordance with CERCLA/RCRA guidelines
