Sr Technical Application Specialist

The integrated full-service solutions leverage a 97-year legacy in event management as well as new technologies to deliver moments that matter. **Summary** Implement and administer the enterprise-wide document management system, Autodesk Vault, and related systems, technical software, and procedures that allow the organization to capture, store, retrieve, share, and destroy electronic records and documents. Perform systems management and integration functions, improve existing functionality, and review system capabilities, workflow, and limitations. Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate Autodesk Vault and related systems, such as related local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), cloud networks, servers, and other data communications networks. Perform or facilitate network maintenance, in collaboration with Information Technology, to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption. Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns, in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners. Perform systems management and integration functions, in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners. Provide technical assistance to computer users within the Creative organization, in collaboration with Information Technology. Answer questions or resolve related problems for users in person, via telephone, or electronically. Provide assistance concerning the installation and use of all computer software in the Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Digital Content Creation (DCC) categories. This position will support our Design team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show site 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of any of the following locations: + Dallas, TX + Las Vegas, NV + Orlando, FL **Essential Duties & Responsibilities** + Assume primary responsibility for the overall administration of the Autodesk Vault system and support of related technical software applications. + Ensure routine back up of Autodesk Vault network data. + Coordinate management of Autodesk Vault network data according to data retention standards and policies. + Manage configuration and security settings or access permissions in Autodesk Vault for groups or individuals across the enterprise to ensure appropriate and ongoing support for diverse and interdependent workflows, enlisting appropriate support from respective user groups to ensure proper configuration management. + Analyze and report computer network security breaches or attempted breaches for Autodesk Vault. + Continuously monitor the Autodesk Vault network and identify the causes of networking problems, using application-specific diagnostic testing software and equipment. + Install Autodesk Vault network software, including security or firewall software, in collaboration with Information Technology and external partners. + Troubleshoot Autodesk Vault network, connectivity, or application problems for users or user groups. + Provide support related to Autodesk Vault networking or connectivity issues. + Evaluate local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN) performance data for Autodesk Vault to ensure sufficient availability or speed, to identify network problems, or for disaster recovery purposes. + Analyze Autodesk Vault network data to determine network usage, disk space availability, or server function. + Maintain technical software application library for Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Digital Content Creation (DCC) software, installing new software systems, ensuring integration with existing network systems, and documenting software package installation procedures. + Test Autodesk Vault and related technical software applications, using standard diagnostic testing equipment and procedures, including evaluating and testing new software releases, and reporting bugs and issues to internal and external software developers and stakeholders. + Monitor industry web sites or publications for information about patches, releases, viruses, or potential problem identification related to Autodesk Vault and related applications. + Create or update technical documentation for Autodesk Vault network installations and configuration or changes to existing installations and configuration with a goal of continuous improvement based on feedback from user groups and in response to organizational objectives. + Train users in procedures related to Autodesk Vault software or related systems, enlisting appropriate support from user groups as needed to ensure training objectives are met. + Maintain logs of Autodesk Vault network activity. + Document help desk requests and resolutions, responding to issues escalated according to Information Technology standard procedures. + Research related hardware or software products to meet technical networking, security, and innovation needs, consulting with internal stakeholders and external partners. + Create or revise Autodesk Vault user instructions, procedures, or manuals, socializing new features and highlighting tools and workflows that will contribute to continuous improvement. + Run monthly Autodesk Vault network reports, based on feedback from user groups, identifying and reporting on issues of relevance to the user groups to ensure proper network maintenance. + Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned at any time at the discretion of management. **Education & Experience** + Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, Product Design, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required. **TRAINING AND CREDENTIALS:** + Autodesk Vault Professional Administration - server and software configuration, lifecycle management, revision management, file naming schemes, working with items, managing change, working with bills of materials, and thin client. + MCSE or MCSA certification (preferred). + Previous training in Information Technology (preferred). **TECHNOLOGY SKILLS:** + Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and Digital Content Creation (DCC) applications - Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Revit, Adobe Creative Cloud, Trimble Sketchup Pro. + Backup or archival software – related to CAD and DCC applications. + Cloud-based data access and sharing software – related to related to CAD and DCC applications. + Configuration management software - Patch and update management software related to CAD and DCC applications. + Document management software – Autodesk Vault, Adobe Acrobat. + Electronic mail software - Microsoft Exchange. + Helpdesk or call center software -
