What you will be doing  

As a Service Reliability Product Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the resilience, scalability, and system availability of Supply Chain applications and services.  Being responsible for driving the vision and execution of reliability strategies, you will work closely with cross-functional teams spanning engineering, operations, and support to define and prioritize efforts that enhance system reliability and reduce downtime.  This role requires an understanding of both product management and service reliability engineering (SRE) principles to produce deliverables that boost user experience, as well as communicating with stakeholders at all levels. 

 

Main responsibilities 

Define, maintain, and communicate a long-term strategic roadmap along with clear and tangible delivery milestones.   Oversee the requirement analysis and solution design sessions to establish the project scope; link it back to real world use cases, customer benefits; and business ROI.  Closely collaborate with technical teams, especially with data scientists and data engineers to turn functional solutions into feasible technical implementations.  Lead the product team to influence necessary organizational, operational and/or behavioral change; And own product usage KPIs.  Build strong professional relationships with sponsors, customers, partners, and developers. Act as the voice of the customer for development team.  Engage, influence, and evangelize SRE practices with development, operational and product groups to align technology service/solution delivery.  Manage availability, latency, scalability, and efficiency of Supply Chain applications development by instilling engineering reliability into our development life cycle with a focus on fault tolerant approaches.  Drive quality accountability within the organization with well-defined processes, metrics, and goals for process quality. This includes leading effective postmortems and ensuring actions are followed-up.  Implement metrics driven processes to ensure service quality targets are met.  Drive improvements to our incident response and on-call procedures   Collaborate across Product & Engineering to establish SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs   Drive adoption of best practices in monitoring, alerting, chaos testing, and resiliency   Track gaps, incidents, and productivity metrics. Use this data to improve these gaps with engineering teams and operation team.  Drive capacity planning, performance analysis, instrumentation, and other non-functional systems requirements. 

 

The salary range is $174,000 to $226,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. 

 

What we are searching for  

Broad expertise and knowledge of supply chain including prevailing challenges, emerging technologies, and industry trends etc.; Retail grocery supply chain system is a huge plus.  Proven experience designing and driving solutions with track record of bringing positive results for supply chain operations. Previous experience as a supply chain consultant will come very handy.  Broad expertise and knowledge to harness the power of data to solve real-world problems; Preliminary knowledge of data science and data engineering is a key.   Significant Product Management experience on a technical Application Development  Expert knowledge of Project Management Methodology and Tools (e.g. MS Project, Visio, Agile, SDLC etc.) with an expert knowledge of Project Management Disciplines.  Strong interpersonal and social skills to gather information from others. Excellent communication and presentation skills to influence others.   Strong people management skills.  Strong expectation management, influencing, and conflict resolution skills.  Strong ability to collaborate across various groups, build relationships and manage effectively in a matrix organization   Strong ability to motivate teams and coach, mentor and train Product owners and IT support managers  Broad expertise and knowledge of process evaluation and selection of products, tools, services and infrastructure components in line with an organization’s business needs and architectural principles. 

 

Additional Technical Skills – Nice to have one or all of the following: 

Lean Portfolio Management Certification  Product Owner  Agile for Teams  Scrum Master Certification 
Azure or Google domain certification
