About the Job

 

As a Senior Technical Training Consultant on the Technical Enablement Academy team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from across many divisions of the company to develop and share new ideas, techniques and approaches for training. You will be responsible for designing, developing, supporting and delivering training across a broad span of SAS technology, including data engineering, visualization and administration.

 You will:

Act as a recognized technical SME in multiple areasDeliver SAS technical training to SAS employees, customers and partners as business needs dictateConceptualize, design and develop new SAS technical training materialMentor other instructors in learning new coursesWork with SAS stakeholders across regions and teams (Professional Services, Customer Success, Technical Support, etc.) to gather training needsProvide operational support for SAS training environmentsCoordinate with managers, instructors and administrators to schedule a sequence of training sessions over multiple weeksManage projects on a global levelResearch industry best practices for academy (i.e., project-based) training and apply them to enhance SAS academy trainingPerform other duties, as assigned

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or quantitative field related to area of assignment8 years of experience in technical training, consulting, technical sales, technical support, technical development, customer support or related area of expertiseSubject matter expertise with at least one area of SAS Viya (programming, data engineering, visualization, machine learning, deployment, administration or operations)Excellent writing and presentation skills in English, including the ability to communicate with students with various technical backgroundsExperience conceptualizing and developing training content and delivering content in person and remotely via live webStrong ability to identify and resolve SAS technical issuesDemonstrated time management and leadership skillsAbility to work and learn independently

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with RACE (Remote Access Computing Environment)
