We’re seeking an experienced Test Engineer to support to join a team of engineers across various engineering fields and supports a diverse portfolio of Sensors, Communications, Networks, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Weapons, Unmanned and Autonomous Systems. This position provides support to USSOCOM and is responsible for planning, designing, and executing test events for current Program of Records
You will perform hands-on design, development, test and evaluation, and demonstration of emerging technology that can transition into USSOCOM programs of records. You will apply their experience to drive advances in mission capabilities. You will assist in user engagements and developing innovative solutions and applying Agile Engineering principles to evolve mission capabilities for our sponsors. You will contribute to tasks as a member of our team, as well as provide technical leadership to applicable areas of their tasks as required, documenting progress and results in technical briefings and reports. You will effectively communicate application capabilities and must be able to work effectively in a team and in geographically separated environments.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Develop test plans and procedures, schedules, and execute a test within the constraints of customer requirements and produce timely test reports.
+ Assist in the development of system requirements, functional capabilities, performance measures, design constraints, test phase entry/exit criteria, and metrics.
+ Develop and write methods of tests/concept of operations (CONOPS), test cases, test cards/procedures, test directives, technical or letter reports, and any other test process documents as required in the conduct of test and evaluation.
+ Plans coordinates, and monitors test projects that frequently require significant modification of standard practices or adaptation of instrumentation to obtain valid results.
+ Plans monitors, and evaluates tests, and assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests.
+ Coordinate schedules for test execution, to include all pre-and post-test activities.
+ Analyze user requirements, execution requirements and prepares related documentation to demonstrate technology during lab or live-fly evaluation event.
+ Provide technical expertise regarding testing processes in the DoD, specifically regarding Air Force and AFSOC Fixed-Wing aircraft.
+ Interface with Government and Industry partners supporting systems engineering, architecture, and design in a professional manner.
+ Maintain communications with Government, Industry stakeholders, and end users for unmanned aircraft, manned aircraft, DoD and USSOCOM laboratories to assist in coordinating integration and testing efforts/events.
+ Capable of performing as a team leader in directing and executing system testing.
+ Author technical documents and briefings and conduct formal presentations.
+ Travel to locations, as required, to conduct tests, collect and reduce data.
+ Can assist other ETL engineers in performing engineering-related duties to execute test and evaluation of emerging technology (Sensors, AI/ML, Weapons, Networks, Communications, etc.)
+ Coordinate schedules for test execution, to include all pre-and post-test activities.
Required Qualifications/Experience
+ BS Degree in an engineering, mathematical or computer science discipline or 10+ years in T&E
+ US Citizenship; Active DoD Top Secret Clearance – SCI Eligible
+ Analytical skills and basic problem-solving skills in Engineering
+ Good organization, decision making, and verbal and written communication skills.
+ Excellent self-initiative and self-motivation – can work independent of the team as needed.
+ Five or more years related experience with C5ISR systems technologies including (but not limited to)
+ Tactical, cloud solutions, enterprise architectures, and Cybersecurity
+ Commercial satellite, cognitive radios, and cloud-based solutions
+ Satellite Communications (SATCOM) terminals,
+ Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) and Low Probability of Detection (LPD) technology
+ Demonstrated experience leading and performing systems engineering; software development and integration; and development of C5ISR systems, software, and capabilities.
+ Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing customers, and contributing to technical proposals.
+ Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with US government customers and other contractors to deliver project technical performance.
+ Previous experience working across US Special Operations Forces (SOF) community highly desired.
+ Proficiency in MS Office products to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
