Be part of a team at the Trade Compliance Mexicali Team where you will use your knowledge and background in finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve production control output and continuous improvements working with Operations, Engineering, Operations AME and Sourcing. You will partner with the factory operations in providing direction that ensures product is coordinated, monitored and completes the production cycle according to schedule.
Key Responsibilities•Ensure import transactions are executed in compliance with all applicable Customs laws and regulations while maximizing duty-savings for the company.
•Manage the site(s) import compliance Maquiladora program to ensure the proper application and execution of Customs laws, processes, and procedures.
•Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for complex and high-level corporate import compliance initiatives.
•Lead projects tied to US Customs Reconciliation, Country of Origin verification, USMCA Reviews.
•Conduct site risk assessments, audits, and support to complete corrective actions to mitigate risks in Maquiladora sites
•Create necessary procedures to improve communication among stakeholders to maintain VAT, AEO, IMMEX, Import Licenses for Maquiladora Sites.
5 years in import export experience or related discipline and proficient in reading, writing, and speaking in English.
Deep Knowledge of Mexican foreign commerce legislation and Maquiladora program. i.e. IMMEX, AEO & VAT Certification, Import License.
