Primary Role
Responsible for organizing and performing advanced functions and activities related to ensuring that our wastewater facilities are in compliance with the monitoring and reporting requirements of Illinois EPA. Primary focus is on compliance with the influent and effluent limitations, monitoring, and reporting.
Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of federal and state wastewater standards and regulations, wastewater treatment processes, and analytical testing principles is preferred. Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office. Good attention to detail.
Experience/Education Experience in water, wastewater, and laboratory operations preferred. Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or related field – or 5-10 years in the water, wastewater or laboratory operations.
Certifications & Licenses
Valid Driver’s License.
Office environment. Can include occasional outdoor work and treatment plant environment.
Local and regional. Rare overnight travel may be required.
