The Platform Engineering Team is responsible for defining, developing, implementing, maintaining, and advising on the effective use of the Publix VMware based technology solutions to maximize their value. This position will play a key active role towards those efforts with a focus on mentorship, knowledge sharing, and technical visionary stewardship.
ResponsibilitiesSoftware and hardware installation, configuration, integration, and supportProject design and architectureSystems and network management activitiesProblem determination, resolution, and preventionSystems security, vulnerability remediations, and regular audit tasksFacilitate project team participation, provide technical steward leadership, and foster a culture of shared growth through mentorship & collaboration.Maintain new technology awareness through self-driven research & practical proof of concept efforts with an end goal towards systems integration of current and future Publix technology state.Maintain vendor relationships while extracting maximum value for Publix with effective time utilization.Create, review, collaborate, and update documentation for internal and peer customers.Develop and iterate automation processes, self-service portals, and monitoring tools to ensure consistency, maintain deployment velocity, and increase efficiencies.
