Sr. Account Manager - Aerospace, Defense & Government - Mid Market

We are excited to announce an opening for a Sr. Account Manager Position covering a key set of Aerospace, Defense and Government accounts in the Americas. This is a 
remote position, located close to customers and a major airport. Acceptable locations are Austin, LA, San Diego, NYC, Baltimore or DC. 


This opening is a high-impact opportunity to further develop mid-market accounts within our ADG sector and enable continued success and growth in the overall ADG Strategy. 


The successful candidate will have responsibility for developing and driving a Territory Growth Plan in partnership with key customers. Including marshaling resources and enabling effective collaboration across supporting functions like, Applications Engineering, Sales and Business Unit Managers, Field Marketing, Customer Success, across the organization. 

 


In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Be motivated and energized by the pursuits of new business, new relationships, and a general curiosity for connecting across a variety of customers. Develop and implement a demand generation, prospecting/hunter plan to pursue new growth areas within underserved or emerging accounts under your purview.  Develop and implement creative, winning strategies and account plans and objectives that consistently deliver outstanding account growth. Optimize co-selling motions across the full ecosystem of resources to achieve scale and enhance value across a broad set of Defense customers.  Understand and Develop Multi-Site strategies aligned to customers key initiatives. Take ownership and cultivate mutual collaboration - both internally and externally.  Success in this role will be predicated on several factors, but the consistent theme of collaboration within Sales, the BU, with our System Integrators, with Distributors, 
and Resellers will all be paramount.  Collaboration and embodying our connector value principles will be fundamental for success in this role. Drives personal and account growth through accurately identifying and using NI's strengths to build compelling visions that drive action with internal and 
external decision makers to deliver to customer’s strategic initiatives. Expand horizons through identifying, developing, and maintaining influential Senior Level relationships within the account that are readily accessible and agreeable to 
transparent discussions.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Engineering Degree 3+ years experience in leading accounts in B2B technical sales. Must be a US Citizen
