SUMMARY
The Financial Reporting Senior is responsible for financial reporting procedures in conjunction with period end close, including cash flows, covenant and other financial calculations, and other closing responsibilities, and participates in other Financial Reporting tasks including the research of technical issues, preparation of the monthly reporting package and assistance in preparation of SEC filings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include, but are not limited to the following (other duties may be assigned):
Perform various financial reporting procedures in conjunction with period close, including preparation of the consolidated cash flow, covenant calculations and other closing responsibilities.
Responsible for coordinating the period-end reporting package for executives, including working with Corporate Accounting to retrieve the FCCS financial statements and obtain fluctuation analyses from the appropriate process owners completing the balance sheet, income statement and cash flow variance analyses.
Prepare journal entries and assigned account reconciliations on a period basis according to established schedule. Follow up with appropriate individuals for any needed corrections and prepare journal entries accordingly.
Assist in on-going compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 and in maintenance of process narratives and control matrices for the Financial Close and Reporting Process.
Assistance with preparation of SEC filings, including working with other personnel and departments to obtain the appropriate input and supporting documentation.
Responsible for the completion and maintenance of the support binder for each filing, inclusive of Form 10-Ks, Form 10-Qs, Form 8-Ks and exhibits and earnings scripts.
Perform technical accounting research, including knowledge of proposed rules, changes or interpretations issued by the FASB and SEC and suggest enhanced disclosures, if applicable, based on independent research.
Prepare technical memos and analyses for complex or non-recurring transactions.
Assist in quarterly reviews/year-end audits with internal and external auditors.
Other financial reporting tasks or analysis as assigned.

Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Accounting System/ERP skills.

Must be able to communicate effectively in both an oral and written manner to common inquiries or complaints from team members, customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to management, vendors and other employees.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and
Certified Public Accountant license required; and
3-5 years related experience and/or training in SEC and/or Financial Reporting in industry required; or
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
