Sr. Accountant, Fixed Assets
Responsible for processing of fixed assets, property tax returns, intellectual property amortization and other day-to-day Accounting functions in a corporate environment. Ensure data request responses are complete, accurate, and timely. Job duties:Performs monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, FA Rollforward, Intellectual Property, Prepaids, Royalty Calculations.Fixed Assets – Sets up master file and depreciation/amortization schedules.Processes fixed asset transfers and disposals.Maintains the Master Data File to include Intellectual Property of intangible asset master data, amortization schedules and IP impairment.Responsible for tracking of time and costs incurred on software and R&D projects according to IFRS.Intercompany cross-charge reconciliation, proper GL coding and clearing.Perform physical inventory of corporate fixed assets, reconcile to fixed asset sub-ledger.Asset tagging of corporate fixed assets.Partner with Operations to proactively educate, respond to questions and assist with issue resolution.Partner with Tax to provide accurate and timely data for tax accruals, audits and filings.Partner with Internal Audit to review and resolve audit findings in a proactive approach.Maintain strong understanding of capitalization rules, regulations and industry best practices and provide leadership and educational support to the organization to ensure costs are capitalized in accordance with rules and regulations.Preparation of audit ‘lead schedules’ for KPMG and Internal Audit/Controls.Accurate preparation and completion of property tax returns.Coordination of property tax audits.Prepare and review month end journal entries.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
