Your New Role...
The position is responsible for reconciling of Intercompany with WB Discovery Corp and other sister companies, GL maintenance and financial statement analysis of international concentrator companies, and special purpose companies, and international equity. In addition, this position will assist in company-wide foreign exchange analysis, hedge accounting, and special projects.
Your Role Accountabilities...
Foreign Exchange and Hedge Accounting:
Assist in analyzing company-wide monthly and quarterly FX impact on P&L and Other Comprehensive Income (OCI)Prepare monthly US GAAP FX revaluation for the companyAssist in completing quarterly FX hedge financial reportingAnalyze impact of Cumulative Translation Adjustment on a quarterly basisNon-eliminating Intercompany:
Primary point of contact for Warner Media and other sister companies as it relates to day to day and period end activitiesSupervise staff in business process outsourcing (BPO) center and ensure tasks are performed accuratelyReview monthly reconciliations and quarterly supplemental schedulesInternational Equity:
Reconcile and record monthly Restricted Stock and Stock Option transactions for international territoriesCommunicate and assist Territory Finance and/or HR CompensationInternational Concentrator Company Analysis:
Communicate the International Calendar and all close instructions to all territories.Analyze WBEII FinancialsEnsure eliminating intercompany variances are cleared for month-end closeEnsure the cash clearing is cleared every monthSpecial Projects/Other:
Provide training to internal and BPO on various topicsIdentify and recommend improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies in the organization.Assist in Ad Hoc projects for Senior Management.Help with interim and annual auditQualifications & Experience...
Approximately 3+ years previous work experience in an accounting environment required.Public and/or private accounting experience requiredFinancial closing, consolidations, reporting and planningBachelor’s or advanced degree in Accounting required.CPA/MBA preferredThorough knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP)Must have experience with ERP systems, SAP preferredPC Skills: Knowledge of MS Word and Excel or Access requiredExcellent communication (verbal and written) and analytical skills.Must be a critical thinker who can provide solutions with minimal guidanceMust have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels, in person and on the telephone Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructionsMust have the ability to organize and schedule work effectivelyMust have the ability to multi-task and work well under time constraintsMust be able to work in a fast paced environmentMust be able to work independently and meet deadlinesHow We Get Things Done…

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $63,001.00 - $117,002.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
