Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join a growing Consumer Products company in Jersey City, New Jersey. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic team, tasked with handling account reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records for the organization. The role requires a fast-paced working style. Ideal candidate will have accounting experience out of a CPG, Wholesale or Retail company. Responsibilities: + Conduct account reconciliations meticulously to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance + Manage balance sheet reconciliations, with an eye for accuracy and timeliness + Oversee bank reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions are accounted for and correctly posted + Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis + Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring the accuracy of information and timely completion of tasks + Oversee accounts payable + Oversee the month-end close processes, ensuring all financial data has been recorded and reconciled + Oversee accounts receivable + Oversee the sales tax filings + Assist with the budgeting and forecasting + Financial Reporting to upper management Requirements • 5+ years of experience • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance • Must be out of the CPG, wholesale or retail industry • CPA or CPA track preferred • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Strong communication skills Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
