Description We are hiring a Sr. Accountant in Salisbury, North Carolina. This role is pivotal in our finance team, where you will be handling various accounting duties for all our facilities. You will also assist the Controller with their duties and train other accountants. Responsibilities: • Handle the preparation and posting of journal entries • Conduct detailed analysis of account reconciliations, including bank accounts • Manage the process of month-end and year-end closing tasks • Oversee and review detailed schedules of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation • Reconcile cash and investment accounts • Generate and review monthly financial statements • Deliver projected annual depreciation for budgets and conduct annual analysis • Generate audit schedules and roll-forward reports as well as participate in audits • Handle ad hoc financial reporting requests and special projects • Maintain the integrity of the financial information systems and sub-ledgers • Assist with implementing new systems that create process improvements • Train staff accountants on all accounting activities, including analysis and account reconciliation • Recommend process improvements and create efficiencies in financial reporting and other accounting activities.
