Sr. Accountant
Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant for our Security industry operations based in Honolulu, Hawaii. The role involves a variety of accounting-related tasks geared towards ensuring timely and accurate preparation and reporting of financial data. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be entrusted with the analysis of financial information, reconciliation of financial statements and accounts, and ensuring data accuracy. Responsibilities: • Analyzing and interpreting financial information from various internal departments • Ensuring data accuracy by reconciling financial statements and accounts • Assisting in the process of month-end and year-end closes • Preparing, posting, and reconciling journal entries, including monthly accruals, deferrals, payroll entries, and intercompany charges • Conducting monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and balance sheet • Supporting internal and external auditors by providing necessary account information and documents for annual audits • Documenting existing processes and suggesting improvements where necessary • Upholding company financial processes and controls related to cash management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory management, accruals, project reporting, and revenue recognition • Keeping abreast with acceptable accounting practices and procedures • Ensuring confidentiality of company information at all times. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Analysis is required for this role, with the ability to review financial information and adjust operational budgets accordingly. • Expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations is necessary, ensuring all financial data aligns with bank statements. • Experience with Journal Entries is crucial, with the ability to record business transactions accurately and in a timely manner. • Profound knowledge of General Ledger is essential, maintaining and updating all financial transactions. • Capability to handle Month End Close tasks, finalizing all accounting activities for the month, is a must.
