Command, Control, Intelligence, and Encryption (C2I&E)

By joining our Command, Control, Intelligence, and Encryption (C2I&E) business, you will be a member of a team dedicated to providing innovative solutions that streamline the preparation and execution of intricate, mission-critical operations. We focus on enhancing situational awareness, tactical command and control, and seamless video data exchange capabilities within a dynamic, multi-domain environment.

Job Description With guidance and oversight from the Accounting Manager, responsible for accurate transaction records, evaluate financial processing, and control transaction processes. Analyze and verify company records following company policy and industry rules. This role will work on month end close, GL maintenance, special projects, and serve as back up to Accounts Payable and Payroll.

Essential Duties:

Assist with month-end close by creating and recording journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and running processes and reports for accurate revenue and expense recognition.Assist with Accounting Software maintenance and trouble shooting.Produce and issue a monthly capex tracker report that summarizes our YTD and forecasted capital expenditures.Maintain the fixed asset database, including set up of new assets, disposal of assets and recording monthly depreciation to the ledger.Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.Performs other tasks, as required, including process improvement projects.Provide backup for Accounts Payable by reconciling bank transactions, entering invoices, processing bi-weekly A/P runs, accruing liabilities, tracking pre-paid amortization, and recording daily customer receipts in the ERP system.Process weekly timesheets and corrections in Deltek Costpoint and Time & Expense.Coordinate all aspects of payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees, including bonus and commission processing.Review and process expense reports.Address urgent payroll issues promptly, such as special payroll runs, manual check calculations, and resolution of tax remittance issues.Record paid time off accruals and leave pay.Oversee year-end operational closure, including reconciliation, distribution of W2 forms, and compliance with tax filing regulations.Assist as needed with internal and external payroll audits such as workers’ compensation, tax filings, and associated documentation as required.Generate periodic reports detailing earnings, taxes, deductions, and nontaxable wages. Serve as a point of contact for wage tax-related queries. Develops ad hoc reports as required.Ensure integrity of all payroll data in compliance with company policies and government regulations.Assist the Accounting Manager in problem-solving, special projects, and collaboration with ADP Client Representatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.  Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.5+ years of experience in full cycle accounting or related role.Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Prior experience is payroll, accounts payable, and month-end close.Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and take initiative.Excellent math skills and strong attention to detail are required to be successful in this position.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.Must be able to effectively present financial information and analysis to management and communicate with auditors.Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR in a business setting.Working knowledge of GAAP.
