Job Title: VP of Finance Job Description Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President (VP) of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial activities for the organization. The VP of Finance is responsible for producing and presenting financial reporting to the stakeholders to make strategic decisions. The VP of Finance is responsible for overseeing all accounting staff and dictating the workflow of the department. Position Competencies: Organized and Detail Oriented- Ability to stay organized and prioritize workflow. Technologically Astute-Ability to utilize technology to effectively and efficiently perform all job functions. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Communication- Uses clear language to communicate information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Investigative - Ability to accurately research, analyze, and present recommendations. Decisiveness - Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume role. Must be able to make decisions in a timely manner. Leadership - Ability to provide coaching and training. Ability to guide employees to achieving company goals. Duties and Responsibilities: + Oversee all aspects of accounting operations including payables, receivables, payroll, and tax preparation. + Direct and execute the preparation of all financial reports. + Manage and maintain financial records utilizing Quickbooks. + Regular financial reporting (e.g. preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements), forecasts, planning, budgeting, financial analysis, cash management, and procurement. + Finalize and present financial reporting packages with the Chief Financial Officer to executive leadership for forecasting and strategic planning. + Establish Standard Operating Procedures as related to financial operations companywide. + Partner with the Chief Financial Officer to create, implement, and lead the company budgeting processes and procedures. + Ensure adherence to all US GAAP standards to ensure compliance with tax laws and industry regulations. + Timely and accurately provide reporting of financial information to internal parties, government regulators, and outside agencies + Audit and improve productivity and effectiveness of current cross team processes. + Conduct regular internal audits of financial processes and procedures. + Hire, develop, and manage accounting staff. Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required. Certifications such as CPA, CFA, and CMA are preferred. Masters in business administration preferred. · Minimum of five years of senior -level management experience in an accounting environment. · Proficient in Microsoft Office. · Adept knowledge of U.S. GAAP. · In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit and tax compliance and other regulatory matters. · Excellent organizational skills. · Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask without forgoing the quality of work.
