Sr. Accountant
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Camarillo, California. This role is within the finance industry and the workplace is a professional office setting. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with various responsibilities that involve maintaining and reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and assisting with budgeting processes among other duties. Responsibilities: • Prepare and reconcile journal entries along with general ledger and subsidiary accounts. • Distribute monthly revenue and expenditure reports to departments after preparing monthly financial statements. • Conduct analysis and reconciliation of expenditure and revenue accounts. • Execute wire transfers and journal funding transfers, followed by the reconciliation of monthly bank statements. • Calculate and prepare reimbursement billings, track receivables, and reconcile monthly accounts receivable. • Prepare audit schedules for external auditors and act as a liaison with auditors. • Assist in the preparation of the annual and mid-year budgets. • Provide assistance with fiscal year-end and fixed asset accounting. • Respond to budget questions, provide guidance on proper expenditure coding, document processing, and other accounting-related activities from company personnel. • Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as required. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA • Proficiency in accounting software including Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including use of formulas and functions • Experience in performing Account, Balance Sheet, and Bank Reconciliations • Expertise in preparing and posting Journal Entries • Familiarity with General Ledger operations • Experience in conducting Month End Close procedures • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • High attention to detail and accuracy in work • Good organizational and time management skills • Ethical conduct and integrity in performing duties • Proven experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant.
