Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Westfield, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be tasked with various accounting duties including monthly financial statements preparation, journal entries, and account reconciliations. You will also handle cash and inventory management. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Prepare and present monthly financial statements • Record and manage journal entries • Conduct monthly account reconciliations • Carry out daily cash position reconciliations • Manage inventory by conducting cycle counts, investigating, and booking variances as required • Utilize various software including Microsoft Excel, Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite for accounting tasks • Assist in the monthly bank reconciliation process • Conduct month-end closing activities • Handle account reconciliations including balance sheet reconciliations • Maintain and manage general ledger entries. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation • Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation • Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations • Demonstrable skills in General Ledger management • Proficiency in Journal Entries • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Familiarity with Month End Close processes • Experience with NetSuite • Proficiency in Oracle • Familiarity with SAP • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices • Knowledge of financial reporting • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws regarding accounting, finances, and taxation.
