Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team located in Richmond, Virginia. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting and HR related tasks, including but not limited to handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly close tasks. Additionally, the role will include some HR duties such as onboarding and offboarding. Responsibilities: • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks efficiently • Perform regular account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations • Prepare and record journal entries accurately • Carry out month-end close procedures in a timely manner • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks • Work with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP • Assist with HR duties including onboarding and offboarding processes • Ensure all accounting duties are performed in accordance with company standards • Maintain accurate records and confidentiality of all financial data • Resolve any accounting discrepancies and irregularities. Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations • Comprehensive understanding of general ledger and journal entries • Proficient in Microsoft Excel • Experience with month-end close procedures • Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • High attention to detail and accuracy • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field • Relevant experience in an accountant role • Professional certification (CPA or CMA) is preferred.
