Sr. Accountant
Description We are inviting applications for the role of Sr. Accountant based in Austin, Texas. The role involves handling day-to-day accounting tasks and conducting monthly financial reconciliations for key accounts. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the accounting and financial processes are up to standard and contribute to accurate financial reporting and control. Responsibilities: • Fulfill daily accounting duties, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions • Conduct monthly financial reconciliations for key accounts • Maintain a thorough understanding of GAAP to ensure compliance in all accounting activities • Leverage skills in software such as Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to streamline accounting processes • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger • Carry out balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations as part of month-end close activities • Ensure all account reconciliations are accurate and completed in a timely manner • Collaborate with other team members to carry out tasks efficiently • Contribute to maintaining and improving the company's financial processes • Ensure accurate financial reporting and control, adhering to set standards and regulations. Requirements • Possess a minimum of three years of experience in a senior accountant role or similar • Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations • Have a strong understanding and experience in general ledger maintenance • Able to prepare and post journal entries accurately • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to create complex spreadsheets • Experience in month-end close procedures and reporting • Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP financial software systems • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field is preferred • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus • Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal • Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively • Knowledge of current financial regulations and accounting principles.
