Sr. Accountant
Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team located inthe Maynard, Massachusetts area. In this role, you will be expected to manage operational data, ensuring its accuracy and integrity. You will also be tasked with creating and managing various financial schedules, reconciling general ledger accounts, and preparing data used in audits. Working closely with the Controller on month-end closings, reporting, and various filing requirements will also be part of your responsibilities. For immediate interview please call Victor Muller at 508 205 2186 Responsibilities: • Manage and ensure the integrity and accuracy of operational data. • Create and manage various financial schedules. • Reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis. • Prepare data to be used in audits, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date. • Work in close collaboration with the Controller on month-end closings. • Assist in generating reports and meeting various filing requirements. • Maintain a commitment to accuracy and meeting strict deadlines. • Utilize knowledge of GAAP and Microsoft Office in daily tasks. • Perform account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation duties. • Utilize Sage 300 and Microsoft Excel to carry out tasks efficiently. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar role. • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is required. • Demonstrated ability to manage the General Ledger. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. • Experience with Month End Close procedures is essential. • Familiarity with accounting software Sage 300. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • High attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. • Professional certification, such as CPA or CMA, is a plus. • Must be authorized to work in the country the role is based in. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
