Description Job Title: Senior Accountant Location: Fairfax County, VA Job Type: Full-Time My client is a growing small business with a long-established track record of stability. Job Summary: We are seeking a diligent and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance department. Reporting directly to our Director of Finance (CFO), the Senior Accountant will be responsible for various functions such as bank reconciliations, balance sheet accounts reconciliation, as well as ensuring that transactions are properly recorded. With a focus on compliance and accuracy, your role will also involve thorough preparation for audits and effective liaison with auditors. Key Responsibilities: + This is a full cycle position and will partner with another senior accountant to cover everything from transactional to financial accounting and compliance. + Handle daily bank reconciliations and monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. + Booking adjusting journal entries or reclass entries as necessary + Assist with production of financial statements + Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and supporting documentation is collected and maintained. (AP and AR) + Manage various tax duties, including preparing and filing payroll taxes, sales tax, annual business tax, and property tax returns. + Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure efficient completion of audits. + Other accounting duties and special projects as needed.
