Sr. Accountant

Description We are inviting applications for a Sr. Accountant based in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and handling bank reconciliations in the telecom industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your skills in General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.
Responsibilities:
• Carry out account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency in the financial data.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliation to maintain the integrity of financial information.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the company's bank balance with its financial statements.
• Maintain and update the general ledger to record all business transactions accurately.
• Prepare journal entries to record financial transactions.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.
• Oversee month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Use NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP systems for various accounting operations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with the finance team to streamline financial operations and improve financial performance. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant
• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
• Extensive experience in maintaining the general ledger and preparing journal entries
• Ability to handle month-end close procedures efficiently and accurately
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Experience in using financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with various departments and external stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred
• Professional certification such as CPA is highly desirable
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with accounting standards and regulations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
