Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in the Rental/Leasing Services industry based in Brea, California. This role involves handling a diverse range of accounting tasks, from processing transactions and maintaining records to performing complex financial analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including bank reconciliations, general ledger, and month-end close.
• Prepare accurate journal entries and post them to the general ledger.
• Administer the processing of customer credit applications with precision and efficiency.
• Maintain comprehensive records of customer credit transactions.
• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts.
• Monitor customer accounts regularly and take necessary actions based on account status.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze data, including the use of functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve overall organizational goals.
• Develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information. Requirements • Possess at least 3 years of experience in a similar role or related field
• Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Demonstrated experience with General Ledger maintenance
• Expertise in creating and maintaining Journal Entries
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Experience with Month End Close processes and procedures
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry
• CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
