Sr. Accountant
Description We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Russellville, Arkansas. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing journal entries, financial statements, and conducting business intelligence analysis. The role will also involve working closely with leadership in the development and evolution of our accounting system, data extraction and analysis, general ledger account reconciliation, month-end close responsibilities, cash transactions, and improving our organizational processes and procedures to provide value to our internal and external customers. Responsibilities: • Prepare journal entries and financial statements accurately and efficiently • Analyze and present recommendations to improve team, department, and company performance • Collaborate with leadership in the development and evolution of our accounting system • Conduct data extraction and analysis, general ledger account reconciliation, and month-end close responsibilities • Handle cash transactions as required • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data posted in the General Ledger • Participate in, and at times, lead process improvement projects to improve efficiencies, expand capabilities and improve overall service levels to the organization • Utilize advanced financial/accounting experience to analyze complex financial data and trends • Provide support and, as needed, leadership to other members of the accounting team • Participate in special projects, team training, team building, and development. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar position • Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations • Experience with general ledger management and journal entries • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for accounting purposes • Experience in month-end close procedures • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
