Responsibilities The Sr. Accountant will manage accounts payable and essential accounting functions for centralized corporate overhead departments. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and providing seamless accounting support for executive and corporate teams.  Independently manage accounts payable issues, oversee supplier relations, and handle check deposits to maintain compliance and support financial operations.Process and verify invoices, resolve vendor discrepancies, and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure timely and accurate payments.Accurately code checks, complete journal entries, and perform account reconciliations, focusing on income statements and balance sheet integrity.Prepare and maintain complex journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, account analyses, and subsidiary ledgers to support accurate financial reporting.Conduct trend analysis within AP data, preparing reports to identify and explain financial patterns, variances, and other key insights.Plan, coordinate, and administer significant accounting activities, ensuring compliance and accuracy across corporate overhead functions.Serve as a primary accounting contact for executive leaders, providing prompt, high-quality financial support tailored to senior management needs. 
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Accountant Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed preferred.

 

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
Additional Preferences Strong foundation in accounting, with experience in accounts payable.  Highly detail-oriented, independent, and able to effectively support executive-level accounting requests.
