Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the field of public accounting, this role involves the administration of credit applications, the maintenance of customer records, and the resolution of customer inquiries in a timely and detail-oriented manner. The individual will also be responsible for monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions. Responsibilities: • Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance and accuracy • Managing tax-related tasks and ensuring timely filing • Executing journal entries as part of the bookkeeping process • Handling month-end closing activities efficiently • Overseeing public accounting audit procedures • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports • Collaborating with team members on complex accounting projects • Ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulations • Providing guidance on financial decisions by monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field is required. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role. • Prior work experience in public accounting is necessary. • Proficiency in public accounting audit is essential. • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. • Must possess a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
