Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Laconia, New Hampshire. The person in this role will be responsible for managing accounting functions, handling reporting and financial plans. Responsibilities: + General accounting – could vary in duties pending candidate. + Reporting and working with heavy data sets, creating tables and ensuring everything is clear to send to leadership. Strong Excel skills is key. + Heavy work within journal entries. + Working with AP/AR team. + Heavy reconciliations; Reconciling investment and bank accounts. + Preparing month-end closing entries, processing month-end closings, and preparing financial reports for the month-end. + Additionally, this role supports the annual budget process, maintains resident files, and addresses accounting issues unique to a Continuing Care Retirement Community. + Strong in software to assist where needed. + Candidates must demonstrate critical thinking, positive problem-solving, and issue resolution skills, as well as effective interaction and communication abilities with residents, staff, and co-workers. KEYS: + MUST have advanced Excel + Degree preferred but not mandatory with equivalent experience + Preferred: nonprofit – other industries are okay too for this role + Strong general accounting – journal entries, reporting, reconciliations + Must fit culture: Everyone is verey friendly and a good environment to work in.
