Description Emily at Robert Half is working with a client who is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join their team located in Brooks, California. As a Sr. Accountant, your role will involve the accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial statements, along with the management and reconciliation of general ledger accounts. You will also play a key role in regulatory compliance and reporting. Responsibilities: • Prepare monthly financial statements, ensuring their accuracy and timeliness • Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis • Assist in the preparation of explanations for monthly P& L meetings, including comparison of actual versus budget and prior year amounts • Manage monthly and quarterly regulatory compliance filings and ensure payment of fees on time • Prepare monthly/quarterly sales and use tax returns, and other quarterly reporting • Handle annual gaming tax return filings and other annual reporting • Cross-train with other General Ledger staff to learn other duties in order to ensure coverage when other staff is out of the office • Assist other department personnel with questions and concerns • Train newly hired employees in GL • Prepare daily and monthly journal entries as assigned Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the accounting field • Proven experience with account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations • Proficient in managing general ledger and preparing journal entries • Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
