Sr. Accountant
Description *Well-funded start up seeking a Sr. Accountant with Hybrid Work Schedule** We are looking for a meticulous Sr. Accountant to join our team in Los Angeles, California. Please email resume to Eric Herndon for consideration Responsibilities: • Manage and reconcile account balances, including bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations. • Conduct the month end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate. • Handle the preparation of journal entries and general ledger operations. • Utilize software like Microsoft Excel, Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite for various accounting purposes. • Oversee accounts payable processes and ensure all financial obligations are met. • Contribute to the preparation and analysis of financial statements. • Lead projects from inception to execution in a fast-paced environment. • Adapt to changing business conditions and solve practical problems. • Communicate effectively with various contacts including leadership and cross-functional partners. • Maintain an organized work environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Accountant. • Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations. • Demonstrated ability to manage General Ledger and Journal Entries. • Expertise in utilizing Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks. • Experience with Month End Close procedure is essential. • Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software. • Solid understanding of General Accounting principles and practices. • Capable of preparing and analyzing Financial Statements. • Responsible for managing Accounts Payable (AP) functions. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • CPA certification would be a plus. • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
