Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Brooklyn, New York. As a Sr. Accountant, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the accurate management of our financial data, focusing on account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations. Your work will be crucial in the finance industry, contributing to the smooth running of our operations. Responsibilities: • Ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts • Managing balance sheet reconciliations routinely • Overseeing bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy • Maintaining the general ledger, ensuring its accuracy and completeness • Preparing and posting journal entries as part of monthly financial procedures • Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting • Closing the month-end financials, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date • Operating Sage 50 software for various accounting functions.
