Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Oak Park, Illinois. The Sr. Accountant will play a crucial role in handling the accounting activities of our organization. The role involves preparing financial reports, maintaining the general ledger, and assisting with budget preparations, among other accounting duties. Responsibilities: • Oversee the process of account receivables and payables, ensuring they are managed accurately each month • Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses • Collaborate with external auditors to maintain internal controls, ensuring financial integrity • Prepare financial statements, reports, and budget forecasts, presenting them to relevant stakeholders • Handle the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with company procedures • Assist in the process of tax audits and the preparation of tax returns • Adhere to compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and detail oriented standards • Recommend, design, and implement improvements to the current financial processes to increase efficiency • Manage the general ledger, performing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations • Utilize Microsoft Excel and SAP in daily tasks, maintaining accurate customer credit records and processing customer credit applications Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant • Proficiency in account reconciliation is necessary • Experience with balance sheet reconciliation is required • Must be able to perform bank reconciliations • Knowledge and understanding of the general ledger is crucial • Ability to prepare and analyze journal entries is a must • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required • Experience in performing month end close procedures • Familiarity with SAP software is necessary Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
