Description We are inviting applications for the role of Sr. Accountant in our company located in Hartford, Connecticut. The role requires a detail-oriented individual to manage customer credit applications and maintain customer credit records. The Sr. Accountant will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary action. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently handle customer credit applications • Oversee and ensure the accuracy of customer credit records • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary • Execute month-end close procedures • Prepare and post journal entries as required • Work in compliance with standard accounting procedures • Participate in the resolution of customer inquiries • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive business results and add value • Assist in ensuring compliance with General Accounting, FPA, ERP standards. Requirements • Applicant must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the accounting field is required • Proficiency in Month End Close procedures is essential • Expertise in creating and maintaining Journal Entries is necessary • CPA certification is highly desirable • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Proven experience with financial reporting and taxation • Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts • Demonstrated proficiency with accounting software and applications • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high quality work.
