Description Our reputed client is currently seeking a meticulous and dedicated Construction Accountant to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and ambitious construction accountant to further their career. + Manage all accounting procedures relevant to the construction project. + Execute AIA billings, job cost reporting, and general ledger postings. + Coordinate with project managers regarding contract documents, change orders, and other contract modifications, approvals, and additional services. + Maintain organized and detailed records of all company expenses, from material purchase to labor costs. + Facilitate prompt and accurate payment to vendors and subcontractors by maximizing AIA billing. + Implement and manage comprehensive accounting software (Sage/Timberline) to streamline processes. + Prepare monthly and annual financial reports. + Ensure compliance with state and federal laws in all financial operations. + Participate in budgeting, financial forecasting, and audits. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field. + A minimum of 3-5 years experience as a construction accountant or similar role. + Proficient in Sage or Timberline accounting software. + Excellent knowledge about AIA billing. + Strong understanding of construction financial accounting and project management. + Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. + Good communication and interpersonal skills.
