Description This search is being conducted by Kevin Green We are offering an exciting opportunity in Dalton, Georgia, for a Sr. Accountant to join our team. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, coordinating and preparing internal and external financial reports, and providing financial analysis to support management decisions. Responsibilities: • Ensure compliance with GAAP while preparing and analyzing financial statements Exposure to manufacturing cost accounting • Take responsibility for the month-end and year-end close processes • Work on the preparation of consolidated financial statements • Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts • Conduct inter-company reconciliations • Support budgeting and forecasting activities • Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies • Liaise with external auditors during the audit/tax prep process • Implement best practices and identify process improvements • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial issues • Participate in system implementations and upgrades as needed • Assist with ad hoc reporting and projects as required. Requirements • Degree in Accounting or Finance Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a must. • Demonstrated experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required. • Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is essential. • Comprehensive understanding of the General Ledger is necessary. • Ability to handle Journal Entries effectively. • Mastery in Microsoft Excel is required. • Prior experience with Month End Close is preferred. • Strong skills in Financial Analysis are essential.
