Description We are in the search for a Sr. Accountant to join our team. This role is based in McLean, Virginia, 22102, United States and offers a long term contract employment opportunity. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be in charge of various financial responsibilities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and handling of fixed assets. Responsibilities: • Oversee the reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy • Manage the process of journal entries, ensuring they are properly recorded • Handle daily cash receipts and ensure they are accurately logged • Oversee the maintenance and management of fixed assets • Handle prepaids and ensure they are properly accounted for • Utilize Microsoft Excel to track, analyze, and report financial data • Assist in month end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting • Use Deltek Costpoint for effective financial management • Participate in incurred cost submissions. Requirements • Proven experience with Account Reconciliation • Proficiency in General Ledger management and maintenance • Demonstrable ability to make accurate Journal Entries • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel • Experience with Month End Close procedures • Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint is required • Capability to handle Fixed Asset Accounting • Responsibility for Daily Cash Receipts • Experience in managing Prepaids is essential Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
