Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant based in downtown Portland, Oregon. The role involves a wide range of accounting tasks within a non-profit environment, and requires a detail oriented individual with advanced Excel skills, a strong understanding of GAAP Accounting, and proficiency in Financial Edge and PowerPlan. Responsibilities: • Carry out full cycle accounting tasks to maintain financial accuracy. • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate. • Compile and present monthly financial reporting to provide a clear picture of the organization's financial status. • Prepare and post journal entries to keep track of all business transactions. • Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete. • Handle document storage and retention management for record-keeping purposes. • Participate in ongoing projects that require the use of advanced Excel skills. • Write and fix reports in Financial Edge and PowerPlan to support financial decision making. Requirements • Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations is required. • The role requires the ability to handle Monthly Financial Reporting. • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP Accounting is necessary. • Proficiency in using Excel is essential for this role. • Familiarity with Financial Edge software is required. • The ability to handle Month End Close tasks efficiently is expected. • Experience with Journal Entries is a key requirement.
