Sr. Accountant
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the steel manufacturing industry, located in Albany, Oregon. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including general ledger management, month-end closing, year-end closing, audit preparation, and manufacturing accounting. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the general ledger • Execute month-end closing activities efficiently • Assist in the year-end closing process • Prepare and support audit activities • Handle accounting tasks related to the manufacturing sector • Reconcile account balances and bank statements • Prepare journal entries as required • Utilize Oracle PeopleSoft for various accounting tasks • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation • Use Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation, with a focus on identifying and resolving discrepancies. • Demonstrable experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Proven ability to perform Bank Reconciliations, efficiently addressing any issues that arise. • Expertise in maintaining and managing the General Ledger, including all associated tasks. • Skilled in creating and processing Journal Entries, with attention to detail and accuracy. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas. • Experience in executing Month End Close processes, with a commitment to timeliness. • Familiarity with Oracle PeopleSoft, with the ability to navigate and utilize its features effectively.
