Description We are offering a contract for a Sr. Accountant position in our Service industry team in Escondido, California. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and analyzing complex financial statements, and collaborating with other teams to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data. Responsibilities: • Accurately prepare and analyze complex journal entries such as prepaids, accruals, and risk pools. • Participate actively in the month-end close process, ensuring punctuality and precision in reporting. • Prepare comprehensive financial statement packages for review, focusing on the general ledger (GL), balance sheet (BS), and month-end financials. • Conduct financial analysis to support month-end close, including variance analysis and productivity assessments. • Ensure proper accounting for all transactions by maintaining and managing records in the General Ledger. • Generate insights into financial performance by developing and running reports using report writer tools. • Collaborate effectively with other teams to safeguard the accuracy and integrity of financial data. • Utilize Microsoft Excel skills to manipulate and analyze financial data. • Manage physician compensation payroll, including complex calculations related to productivity, charges, payments, and productivity pool adjustments. • Use Great Plains (GPAC) for efficient ERP system management. Requirements • Proven experience in Account Reconciliation is mandatory. • Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required. • Must have expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations. • Solid understanding of General Ledger management. • Experience in preparing and managing Journal Entries is essential. • Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. • Experience in handling Month End Close processes is necessary. • Knowledge and experience in using Great Plains (GPAC) is a must.
