Sr. Accountant
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Fresno, California. This role is within the accounting industry, where you will be instrumental in supporting crucial business operations. As a Sr. Accountant, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities, ranging from accounts payable functions to participating in key initiatives such as business process redesign and system development. Responsibilities • Oversee the accounts payable function to ensure accuracy and efficiency. • Prepare and reconcile journal entries for balance sheet accounts as part of monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles. • Assist with the preparation of client schedules for year-end CPA compilation and tax return preparation. • Review, analyze, and file property tax assessments to ensure compliance with regulations. • Participate in key initiatives including business process redesign, cost-saving measures, and system development to improve operational efficiency. • Review existing accounting processes and recommend changes as needed to enhance efficiency and accuracy. • Maintain a comprehensive set of accounting policies and procedures to ensure adherence to US GAAP. • Prepare proforma calculations to forecast financial performance. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. • Proficiency in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation. • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP. • Demonstrated ability in Account Reconciliation. • Experience in managing General Ledger. • Familiarity in preparing Journal Entries. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions. • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
