Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in New York for a Sr. Accountant to be a part of our team. The primary function of this role involves thorough handling of accounting tasks, working closely with the Finance Director and Finance Manager. Responsibilities • Conducting comprehensive bank and balance sheet account reconciliations. • Recording appropriate journal entries as part of daily accounting operations. • Assisting in month end close duties, ensuring all financial data is accurately reported. • Managing and reconciling fixed asset schedules, keeping track of asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation. • Overseeing accounts receivable functions, from invoicing and payment processing to collections. • Providing important documentation to external auditors and tax professionals upon request. • Accommodating ad hoc requests and tasks as assigned by the management. • Utilizing skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is essential. • Skill in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required. • Experience in Bank Reconciliations is mandatory. • Familiarity with General Ledger operations is necessary. • Ability to handle Journal Entries is desired. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. • Experience in Month End Close activities is crucial. • Knowledge of NetSuite software is desired. • Familiarity with Oracle software is necessary. • Proficiency in SAP software is required.
