Description This search is being conducted by Steve Spinello. We are in search of a Sr. Accountant for a Chattanooga manufacturing group. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with managing the general ledger, providing insights through financial reporting, and using your advanced Excel skills to improve our financial processes. Responsibilities As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for: + Managing adjusting journal entries and accruals to ensure financial accuracy. + Overseeing Capital Expenditure (capex) to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance. + Setting cost standards, monitoring, and making necessary adjustments. + Processing use tax to comply with tax laws and regulations. + Performing account reconciliations to ensure correct balances. + Monitoring cash flow and reporting to the Finance Manager about any significant changes or discrepancies. This role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting is also crucial. Requirements Qualifications and Experience: + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. + MBA or CPA credential is preferred. + Previous experience working for a manufacturing company. + Must have a minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience.
