Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role requires a strong accounting background, particularly in the retail and ecommerce industries. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical accounting skills, be comfortable with banking and treasury activities, and have a keen eye for detail.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.Manage month-end closing processes, including bank and account reconciliations.Handle banking activities and communicate effectively with financial institutions.Oversee treasury activities, including the movement of funds.Utilize Excel for financial analysis, including pivot tables, vlookups, and index matches.Work with big box customers such as Macys and Costco, ensuring all accounting requirements are met.Essential Skills7+ years of overall accounting experience (5+ years if experienced in retail and ecommerce industries).Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.Experience with journal entries, month-end closing, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations.3+ years of ecommerce industry experience.Experience working with big box customers.Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and index matches.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Shopify.Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central.Work Environment

This position is onsite, requiring attendance five days a week in our three office buildings located in Bayshore. While we do not offer a 401k match, we provide generous yearly bonuses. Our company is over $1 billion in sales and is continuously growing, with plans for further acquisitions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00

Benefits/Perks - she was honest they don’t do the 401k match but the owners are “very generous” with their yearly bonuses to make up for it. Which is something that can be discussed more at the end of an interview to get a better idea as it is discretionary.
