Description We are currently seeking a Sr. Accountant to support one of our local clients here in the San Fernando Valley. The ideal candidate would have previous Accounting experience in the Manufacturing industry. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible and/or assisting in the tasks from data entry through the financial and tax reporting. More responsibilities include: + Analyze financial data, identify trends,and communicate findings effectively. + Reconciliation of general ledger accounts + G/L entries + Prepare reports + Supporting external audits + Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and accuracy in accounting processes. + Work closely with other departments (e.g., Purchasing, Operations) to resolve any discrepancies and improve workflow. + Fixed assets & depreciation + Cost accounting + Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing deadlines. + Other general and cost accounting tasks + Ad hoc projects Requirements + 10+ years of relevant accounting experience (experience in manufacturing or aerospace/defense environment preferred). + Strong Accounting Foundation: Solid understanding of GAAP and standard accounting procedures, including month-end close, reconciling accounts, and preparing journal entries. + Advanced Excel skills + ERP system + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance + Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing deadlines. + Familiarity with GAAP principles. + Additional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus but not required. + Fast paced environment + Time management skills + Strong analytical skills + Attention to detail + Strong ethical foundation + Effective communication skills + Team player + Strong organizational skills Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
