Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the non-profit sector, located in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you'll be entrusted with a variety of accounting tasks, including maintaining accurate financial records, processing relevant data, and leading a team.
Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate accounting team activities
• Maintain and update financial records to ensure accuracy
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and accounting tasks
• Efficiently process and manage relevant financial data
• Address and resolve any accounting inquiries in a timely manner. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within a non-profit organization.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with financial reporting and financial statement preparation.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience with accounting software and systems is desired.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
